Three routes, two exceptional sites

Via Ferrata in the Pyrénées-Orientales with Outdoor 66

The Souterrata of Villefranche-de-Conflent is the world's first underground via ferrata with a Continuous Life Line. It winds along the pink marble cliffs of the gorge, dives into an underground gallery and emerges through the En Gorner labyrinth — zip lines, a 30-metre monkey bridge and passages in the dark, on a route accessible from age 8.

At Saint-Paul de Fenouillet, two routes share the limestone cliffs above the Fenouillèdes gorges. The Pitchona — "the little one" in Catalan — is the beginner line: 90 m of ascent, an easy grade, a panoramic ledge and a small monkey bridge, ideal for families from age 8. Right next to it, the Saint-Paul de Fenouillet via ferrata climbs 180 m: airy traverses, a narrow ledge and technical sections, from age 10, with sweeping views over the Pyrenees and the Agly valley.

All outings are led by a state-certified professional guide (BEMF). Equipment is fully provided (harness, lanyards, helmet). All three routes are open from April to October and suitable for families and groups alike.
