The terrain.
Vingrau is an iconic sector of the Corbières, at the foot of the last limestone spurs before the plain. The main face offers a 110-metre multi-pitch on crystallised limestone — compact rock, precise holds, equipped belays. In tramontane wind, the cliff dries in all seasons.
The outing is led on-sight, in a rope team of 2. The guide manages key passages and belays — the climber must master belaying and have led up to 6a. From the summit, the view stretches from the Étang de Salses to the Mediterranean.
